A practical introduction to image processing and artificial vision with Python
Jordi Ariño, Software Developer Manager at PUE
Python one of the most popular and currently extended general purpose programming language. It has been adopted in most sectors in the industry, being fundamental for the development of key skills in the ICT sector: Machine Learning, Big Data, data analysis, artificial vision, IoT, statistics ...
The aim of this workshop is to translate a practical vision of how to use Python in the field of artificial vision through a series of small demos on image analysis and processing: facial recognition, image classification, motion detection ... For this we will use a series of specific libraries available, such as OpenCV and scikit-image.
IMPORTANT: With the registration / subscription to this workshop you will receive free access to online training in self-learning format so you can evaluate the Programming Essentials in Python course and the e-learning resources that Cisco makes available to schools and teachers for the training of their students in programming in Python in a practical, official and recognized way.
This activity is part of the collaboration initiative between the Python Institute and the Cisco Networking Academy program that aims to transfer the teaching resources that the program makes available to Cisco Academy centres and their instructors for the training of students in Python.
We will demonstrate the PCAP course Programming Essentials in Python available on the NetAcad platform, and developed to train students in the skills needed for programming with Python: design, write, debug and execute programs encoded in Python in parallel to obtaining fundamental knowledge. and programming skills needed for web development, data analysis, IoT ...
Emphasize, as an added value, that this course prepares students to pass the official certification PCAP - Python Certified Associate Programmer.
Cisco Networking Academy is an educational initiative with more than 20 years of history that has trained a total of 7.8 million students in more than 180 countries.
PUE is the only Cisco Premier + Partner in the NetAcad program in Spain, with nearly 300 centers attached to its figure of the Academy Support Centre (ASC) and Instructor Training Centre (ITC).
PUE also manages the Python Institute initiative in Spain, giving access to interested educational institutions to be able to train officially and recognize their students in Python.
