Description

TASTE OF TRAINING

In this course, you will become familiar with the flexible infrastructure and platform services of Google Cloud, with a specific focus on Compute Engine.

This training session uses a combination of lessons, demos, and hands-on labs to implement and explore solution elements, including infrastructure components such as networks, systems, and application services.

You will also learn how to implement practical solutions such as hybrid networks, customer-supplied encryption keys, security and access management, quotas, billing, and resource monitoring.

Audience and prerequisites

This class is intented for the following participants:

  • Cloud Solution Architects, DevOps Engineers
  • People using Google Cloud to create new solutions or integrate existing systems, infrastructure, and application environments with a focus on Compute Engine

To get the most out of this course, students should have:

  • Have completed the course Google Cloud Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure or have similar experience
  • Have a basic understanding of command line tools and Linux operating system environments
  • Have experience in systems operations, including application deployment and management, both locally and in a public cloud environment

Objectives

This course teaches participants the following skills:

  • Configure VPC networks and virtual machines
  • Administer Identity and Access Management for resources
  • Implement data storage services in Google Cloud
  • Manage and examine billing of Google Cloud resources
  • Monitor resources using Google Cloud services
  • Connect your infrastructure to Google Cloud
  • Configure load balancers and autoscaling for VM instances
  • Automate the deployment of Google Cloud infrastructure services
  • Leverage managed services in Google Cloud
